Freebies and Discounts!

It's summertime! I love finding good deals all year round, but summertime is especially fun for us. Here are a few of my favorites:

Pizza Hut has a program called Book It. You'll sign up as a homeschool family and then add your children. As they read, you can mark off their progress each month. When they meet the milestone, they get a coupon for a free pizza! It's a wonderful incentive for my kiddos as we help each other get our reading in and then we make a family celebration out of it. It's definitely a monthly highlight for us! The program goes through the summer as well. For more information and to sign up, click the Book It! picture below.

The other one we love is Kids Bowl Free. This link is attached to my account, but it appears as though there is no compensation or reward for me, but simply a way to share the word. If I discover that to be incorrect, I will update here.

We spent all summer last year bowling! This year, it begins May 15 thru August 31. Children can bowl 2 free games per day. We purchased the family pass to allow my husband and I to bowl with the kids at a discounted rate as well as the shoe rental pass since shoe rental isn't included in the free pass. The shoe rental is $10/person for the summer. This meant we could go all summer for a fraction of the cost and it became a highlight for my kids on our designated evening or Saturday as a reward to finishing up school work and chores. The Good and the Beautiful Summer Reading Program opens for registration again on May 10th! You'll have to be online and register EARLY that day as they go fast. The next available day is May 17th. We did this program last year and enjoyed it. It certainly doesn't take up the entire summer, but it was a fun kick-off for us. The books are beautiful and free aside from $1.49 shipping per pack. They do ask that you only select one pack per child. We do not receive reward or compensation for sharing. Enjoy!
